Frequently Asked Questions

  • For the beginner levels, students are placed with students their own age. As students progress they will be placed according to level based on assessments done by the instructor. Returning students should enrol in the class suggested by the instructor. New students can enroll in any class according to their age for example Pre-primary A or B. Specific placement questions can be addressed via email at lacretecommunitydance@gmail.com

  • Clothing can be purchased online through MyDancewear. Your child’s class uniform will be uploaded in the portal to view. You will be able to submit an order through the portal. Fitting kits for shoes are available at the studio to determine a proper fit. Please contact us to reserve a fitting. A few tights will be available to purchase at the studio.

  • Recital participation is completely optional, but will need to be noted when the permission form is sent out in November. Recitals are excellent for students to work towards a goal and to show family and friends what they have worked on. They also provide students the chance to perform in front of an audience which helps build confidence. If recital affordability is an issue please contact the studio.

  • For the full-year program, students are able to withdraw by October 9th. LCCD will retain one additional month’s tuition in the event of withdrawals from class(es). For example, if notice of withdrawal with is given by October 9th, LCCD will retain the cost of September’s classes and one additional month worth of classes. LCCD requires written notice of a student’s withdrawal. There will be no refunds for withdrawals after October 9th of the dance year. In case of serious illness/injury, tuition fees will be returned effective the date of a Doctor’s note.

    Sessional class withdrawals must be done within two weeks. There will be no refunds for withdrawals after the two week period for sessional classes.

  • In the case of a class cancellation due to bad weather, instructor illness, or class cancellation, refunds will be processed through the online portal. This may take several business days to reflect on your account. Refunds will not be given for classes missed by the student for illness or vacation. Students can make up these classes by attending another class at the same level the following week.
